Athletic Complex Rendering

The Center

400-meter, 8-lane championship-level running track with full facilities for all jumping and throwing events.

Artificial turf regulation football and soccer field with lighting.

Adjacent grass practice field for soccer, football, and recreation.

Facility accommodates practices and competition for college, high school, and junior high school programs.

Open for use by community members, parks and recreation programs, elementary school programs.

Located at Paul Giel Field in Winona.

 


 

A Community Sports & Recreation Center

Partners cooperating on the $3 million project include Winona Area Public Schools, the Cotter Schools, Winona State University, the Morrie Miller Athletic Foundation, and members of the Winona community.

 


 

Who Benefits?

More than 500 middle school, high school, and college students use the track and playing fields daily.

More than 100 children are involved in parks and recreation summer track programs.

Numerous community members enjoy jogging, walking, and running at a measured, safe facility.

Hundreds of Winona's football and soccer players practice and play at Paul Giel Field.

Community members who will enjoy an upgraded venue for commencements, games, and recreation.
