Brief History

The league began in 1998 under the direction of Pat Bowlin of Cotter Schools. There were 72 participants in the program.

In 2008, under the direction of Stephen Kosidowski, and the Morrie Miller Athletic Foundation, there were eight teams in the league including five Winona area teams, two Lewiston-Altura area teams, and one Houston team. There were over 200 participants in the program.

Beginning in 2016, the League administration transferred to the Winona Family YMCA under the guidance, and with the support, of the Morrie Miller Athletic Foundation.

Most games are played on Saturday Mornings at Paul Giel or WSHS practice fields. On Monday nights marquee games are played under the lights at WSU's Maxwell Field.

The league begins in August and ends in mid October. Practice is held on Monday - Thursday from 5:30-7:30 pm.
